I'm not sure whether either had any Irish parents, but both Marilyn Monroe and Greta Garbo both stayed at Glenveagh Castle, Co Donegal. At the time it was owned by James Henry McIlhenny of Philadelphia. In 1981 the castle and grounds were left to the nation by the McIlhennies.

The museum on Kildare Street is the National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology and History, where the Tara Brooch is along with the Ardagh Chalice. Opened in 1890, the museum contains artefacts dating from 7000 BC all the way up to the modern day. The museum is easily found on Kildare Street, which is located near to Grafton Street and Saint Stephens Green.
